Everything we do at CCPC is purposeful. So, it is no surprise that our name would have a much greater meaning behind it. First and foremost, Chief Cornerstone Proposal Consultants (CCPC) gets its origin from that upon which we exist and to which we are anchored - Our Faith in Christ. Second, it is THE best title we could use to describe the story of how we started in business. It just so happens the plot of our story linearly, but lightly, shadows the footsteps of the Stone the builders refused, but who, by the Lord’s doing, became the Chief Cornerstone (Psa. 118:22-23). Oh, how marvelous this is in our eyes indeed! CCPC was birthed as our founder’s response to the constant resistance she experienced from those to whom she was sent to serve in business throughout the almost two decades of her working in corporate America. Makeesha played by the rules to the game. She educated herself and remained a student, worked hard and smart, developed an impeccable track record of success, and never settled for anything less than what she knew she deserved. Although this formula proved to be successful when it came to producing profitable results for the organizations for which she worked, she recognized there was a huge gap that needed to be filled. There was a much more profitable way to managing the proposal process that significantly improved process effectiveness and time efficiency. One that was solution-first-oriented and that off-loaded the exorbitant costs most organizations incurred from resource and time allocation when pursuing RFP opportunities. Most of which resulted in no, or a less than profitable, win. So, Makeesha did what any innovative thought leader, who seeks to create unmatched value within the marketplace, would do. She began to share her ideas with key leadership in the organizations within which she worked to solicit their buy-in and backing to introduce to the B2B marketplace this new approach to the proposal management process. To no avail, and for many years, her voice and efforts were either ignored or silenced. She was then left with no other choice but to stop knocking on doors, and by faith in Christ and a strong and positive work ethic, build her own door to reforming the B2B market. Hence, the birthing of CCPC. One stone at a time, CCPC has built its foundation upon the One who has been both tried and proven to be the sure key to success in everything we are and do, including how we do business. His name is Jesus Christ. Our faith in Christ is what holds us accountable to work both hard and smart every day. It is what empowers and activates us to perform at a mastery level in our field. It is what fuels our foresight to generate profitable results for our clients that are unprecedented. Last, but most notably, and above all, it is what gives substance to our name. It is only by the Lord’s marvelous working that the same one whose thought leadership was overlooked and rejected in corporate America for so many years has now become the chief cornerstone consulting solution to those same corporate spaces and places in today’s marketplace.
